LOGAN — A 41-year-old Logan man who was previously arrested for voyeurism twice, has pleaded guilty again to videoing a woman changing clothes at a North Logan department store. Jordan M. Larsen accepted a plea deal that allowed him to be released from jail while awaiting sentencing.

Larsen participated in a virtual hearing in 1st District Court Wednesday morning, appearing by web conference from the Cache County Jail. He pleaded guilty to one count of voyeurism by electronic equipment, a class A misdemeanor.

Defense attorney Ryan Holdaway said that as part of the plea agreement, he and prosecutors were asking the court to release Larsen on probation until sentencing. He explained how his client had already served 31 days in jail.

Larsen was arrested March 2 after North Park Police officers were called to the store, on report of a male individual who was seen putting his phone under the dressing room stall as a female was changing. However, once law enforcement arrived, the suspect had reportedly fled the store on foot.

Police spoke to the victim and collected evidence at the store.

Larsen turned himself into the North Park Police Department a day later. He reportedly admitted to officers that he had placed the phone under the dressing room stall and recorded a six second video.

Court records show that Larsen is currently on probation after trying to record girls in a dressing room at the Cache Valley Mall, and filming under women’s skirts on the USU campus. The crimes occurred in 2016. He was also arrested in Davis County by Farmington police on similar crimes in 2019.

Larsen spoke only briefly during Wednesday’s court appearance, pleading guilty to the crime and waiving his rights to a trial.

Judge Brian Cannell said he would follow attorney’s request and release Larsen until sentencing. He ordered the defendant though to meet and comply with probation agents as soon as he is released.

Larsen was scheduled to be sentenced June 8. He still could face up to one year in jail.
