LOGAN — Juniper Systems has named Brad Benson as its new president, bringing more than 25 years of global executive experience to the Logan-based rugged computing and geospatial technology company.
Benson has served on the board of directors for Juniper‘s parent company, the Campbell Group, since 2018 and is known for his strategic leadership and background in enterprise-level business. He previously held executive roles at Intel Corporation, including vice president of global software operations.
“I’m pleased to be joining Juniper Systems and look forward to continuing our mission to bring the best rugged computing and geospatial products to mobile workers everywhere,” Benson said in a statement. “We will continue our tradition of building lasting partnerships with our business partners.”
Rob Campbell, CEO of the Campbell Group, said Benson’s longstanding involvement with the company made him uniquely suited for the role.
“Brad has a unique ability to see the big picture and communicate it to customers and employees,” Campbell said. “I’m confident that Brad’s executive leadership experience will prove invaluable in building on Juniper Systems’ three decades of success.”
Juniper Systems, which employs more than 175 people in Logan and operates a European office near Birmingham, U.K., specializes in ultra-rugged tablets, handheld computers, GNSS receivers, and field computing solutions.
Juniper Systems was founded in 1993 by Ron Campbell as a subsidiary of Campbell Scientific. The company serves sectors such as natural resources, public utilities, agriculture, and the military.
