August 7, 1928 – May 18, 2022 (age 93)

Joanne Kroll, 93 of Danville, IL was reunited with her family in Heaven on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. Visitation will be on Saturday, May 21st from 10-11am at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1949 N. Bowman Avenue in Danville. Services will follow at 11am. Joanne will later be laid to rest at Logan City Cemetery in Logan, Utah beside her husband Richard.

Joanne was born on August 7, 1928 in Peoria, Illinois to Harry and Pearle (Bailey) Whittier. She attended Peoria Manual High School, graduating in 1946. After school Joanne worked for Bell Telephone Company in Peoria for two years. She married Richard Herman Kroll on March 25, 1949 in Peoria, and he preceded her in death on September 15, 2008 after just shy of sixty years of marriage. She has missed him every day since.

Joanne loved owning Lisle Ramsey Studio where she specialized in portraits of babies and small children. She and her husband owned and operated Four Seasons Awnings and Windows. She loved spending time with her family and recently Face Timing with her “babies.”

Joanne leaves behind her two wonderful daughters: Linda (Edward) Malone and Janet (Frank) Butler; her four favorite grandchildren: Greg (Ana) Malone, Jennifer (Joe) Rottmann, Heather (Jesse) Mumm, and Jill (Cory) Rice; and fifteen amazing great grandchildren: Isabelle, Dominic and Marcello Malone; Brooke, Haley, Kate and Eliza Rottmann; Landon, Kyran, Zade, Riya, Tayla, and Calista Mumm; and Emma and Jonah Rice.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard, a sister Louise Whittier Fragel, and two grandsons: Ray Butler III and Jeffrey Butler.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 24th at 1 pm at the Logan City Cemetery under the direction of Allen-Hall Mortuary.
