MINK CREEK, Idaho — Emergency crews are reminding drivers to be cautious after a head-on crash east of Preston, Idaho, injured three people. The crash occurred State Highway 36, east of Mink Creek.

The Franklin County Fire Department posted on social media that firefighters were called to the head-on collision Friday afternoon.
Three people were injured. One patient was trapped inside their vehicle and needed to be extricated. The extent of the injuries were not provided.

The road was blocked for approximately two hours while crews cleaned up the crash.

The collision occurred as the July 4th holiday travel rush was just starting.

Fire officials said, “With more vehicles on the road this holiday weekend, please be extra careful while driving.”
