HYRUM – Utah Division of Wildlife Resources’ invites the public to Hardware Wildlife Education Center to see their beaver exhibit starting tomorrow March 7, and every Friday, Saturday and Sunday until March 30.

Hardware Wildlife Education Center will open up the life of North Americas largest rodent with their beaver exhibit starting tomorrow March 7, and every Friday, Saturday and Sunday until March 30.

The exhibition will open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on each of those days and will show participants the benefits beavers contribute to their environment.

Utah Division of Wildlife Resources Hardware Wildlife Education Center Director Marni Lee said beavers have built multiple dams along that portion of the nearby altered Curtis Creek, which flows just west of the center.

“The dams have altered the way the creek flows through the area and have created great riparian habitat that benefits all kinds of wildlife,” she said. “Our staff can point all of this out to you from our elevated spot above the creek to help you see real-world examples of the benefits of beavers.”

Beavers spend a significant amount of time and effort building their homes while creating river habitats benefiting countless other wildlife species.
