April 9 ,1933- May 17, 2022 (age 89)

Garnet Gilbert Stanger Bradbury passed away peacefully on May 17, 2022 at the age of 89. She was born the fifth of nine children to Hazen and Naomi Gilbert on April 8, 1933. With so many siblings, she always had a friend around.

Garnet was raised in Fairview, Idaho on a dairy farm during the great depression. There she learned to work hard, make do, and have fun. All of those attributes served her well in her life.

She met Cornell Stanger when she was in high school and they were later married and sealed together for time and all eternity in the Logan Temple. They built a beautiful life together and raised six children. She loved being a mother.

When Garnet was 50 years old, her husband passed away suddenly and she found herself a widow. She pulled through that time with the help of her children and love of her grandchildren.

In her golden years, Garnet got remarried to Phil Bradbury, who was a good companion to her for the remaining years of her life.

She had many talents and hobbies, including playing the piano, painting, and sewing. In her later years she spent time every day doing each of these activities. She shared these talents with others. anyone who stopped by to visit her was gifted with a gallery tour of her paintings and a piano recital. And her lucky grandchildren were recipients of homemade Christmas gifts and a quilt each—all 25 of them.

Garnet was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Where she served in many callings from librarian to Relief Society president, from temple worker to a Family History Missionary in the Tallahassee Florida Mission. Her faith was deeply rooted in a lifetime of answered prayers.

Garnet was preceded in death by her husband Cornell, grandson Dustin, her parents, and her siblings Dallas, Nada, Delma, Merlene, and Nelyne.

Garnet will be missed by her husband Phil, her sisters Claris (Gary) Giles and Geri (Brent) Gunderson, her children Marilyn (Randy) Everton, Cindy (Kenneth) Young, Joan (Mark) Jensen, Bert Stanger, Chris (Heather) Stanger, and Randy (Shaunalee) Stanger, her 25 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, along with many other family members and friends.
