LOGAN — Firefighters put out a garage fire near 830 W. 1100 South in Logan Monday afternoon.
The fire was reported around 3 p.m.
The Logan City Fire Department posted on social media that the first arriving engine arrived on scene in just over four minutes and found flames in the garage.
Firefighters made a quick attack on the fire and were able to extinguish the it quickly. They cut open the garage door, letting smoke and water pour out.
One of the home’s occupants sustained minor burns to his hands, reportedly trying to put out the fire with a hose. He was checked by medical personnel on scene and no one sustained serious injuries.
When emergency personnel arrived, black smoke was coming from the door to the garage and burn marks were visible on the side of the house.
The fire was contained to the garage and did not spread to the rest of the house.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
