​LOGAN, Utah — Firefighters quickly contained a grass fire near the mouth of Green Canyon, Saturday afternoon, preventing the flames from spreading up the mountain.

​Logan City Fire Department units were dispatched to the scene at approximcately 2:10 p.m. Crews aboard Engine 121 and Brush 120 arrived in less than six minutes and immediately began suppression efforts.

​The rapid response allowed firefighters to make a quick stop on the blaze before it could threaten the mountainside.

​Officials said the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
