LOGAN — A 67-year-old local man already fighting aggravated assault and stalking charges is now facing new allegations of sexual exploitation of a minor and soliciting an adult for sex. Thomas Lee Peterson faces a total of nine charges across four separate cases.
According to charging documents, Peterson was charged July 9 in 1st District Court in Logan following an investigation by the Logan City Police Department. The latest charges include sexual exploitation of a minor, a second-degree felony, and two counts of sexual solicitation of an adult, both class A misdemeanors. The crimes reportedly occurred between June 17, 2024, and April 16, 2026.
Peterson was originally arrested in February on suspicion of committing voyeurism and aggravated assault. He was later charged with two counts of failing to register as a sex offender, stalking, and violating a protective order.
According to court records, Peterson was convicted in 2006 of sexually assaulting a child and unlawful sexual contact in Colorado.
Peterson remains in the Cache County Jail, where he is being held without bail. He is scheduled to appear in court again July 22.
Individuals arrested and charged in complaints are presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in court.
