SALT LAKE CITY – Democratic candidate Peter Crosby of Providence has won the support of a statewide network of anti-Trump activists in his attempt to unseat incumbent U.S. Rep. Blake Moore in Utah’s 2nd Congressional District.

The endorsement of Crosby from all 12 Utah chapters of the nationwide Indivisible organization was announced on Sept. 9 by Jamie Carter, the director of politics and partnerships for DemCast USA in Salt Lake City.

“Peter Crosby stands out as a candidate who will bring integrity, accountability, transparency and much-needed change to Congress,” Carter explained.

“Utahns are increasing concerned with both the Trump administration and a Congress unwilling to rein his abuses of power and attacks on democratic norms,” she emphasized. “In this moment of political crisis, the Indivisible groups of Utah feel strongly that endorsing congressional candidates willing to put a stop to the current chaos is imperative.”

Indivisible is a progressive organization founded in 2016 as a reaction to the election of President Donald Trump. The movement began with the online publication of a how-to handbook written by former congressional staffers with suggestions for ways progressives could peacefully resist the Trump agenda.

The group resurged with Trump’s return to the White House and now boasts more than 2,000 locally led chapters nationwide. Here in Utah, the 12 Indivisible chapters were largely responsible for orchestrating the series of “No Kings” protests since 2025.

“I am honored to be endorsed by the non-partisan organization responsible for the largest peaceful protests in the history of our nation,” Crosby said, welcoming the group’s support.

“I will continue to work to represent everyone in this new congressional district, regardless of political background, social status or economic circumstances,” he vowed.

In addition to We the People Cache Valley, the Crosby campaign can now expect support from activists associated with Indivisible Box Elder, Indivisible Ogden, Gathering Voices Davis Indivisible, Salt Lake Indivisible, Utah Alliance Coalition, Wasatch Progressives, Indivisible Utah County, Indivisible Carbon County, Indivisible Cedar City, Moab Indivisible and Southern Utah Indivisible.

“For months we have been getting to know Peter,” according to Chelsea Hagman of Gathering Voices Davis Indivisible. “We feel that he is ready to lead Utah as a partner in our work to build more engaged communities that combat authoritarian government and promote the well-being of all Utahns.”

Crosby is scheduled to face-off against the three-term incumbent Moore in a televised event sponsored by the Utah Debate Commission on Tuesday, Oct. 13 on the campus of Utah State University.
