LOGAN — A portion of US-89/91 in Wellsville will close overnight Thursday for sign relocation work, according to the Utah Department of Transportation.

The closure will affect the stretch between Main Street (State Route 101) and Center Street (State Route 23) from 10 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, to 5 a.m. Friday, Sept. 11. Crews will use the closure to move an overhead variable message sign. Daytime construction will remain in place.

Drivers will be detoured through Wellsville via Main Street and Center Street. Transportation officials advise motorists to follow posted detour routes and obey local speed limits.

The work is part of an ongoing Reduced Conflict U-Turn safety project along the corridor, which is expected to be completed in mid-September. UDOT noted that construction schedules remain subject to change.
