On January 20, 2024, our beloved father, grandfather, husband, brother, Brent Tomlinson, born Darrell Brent Tomlinson on December 26, 1936, passed away at the age of 87. There was a joyfull reunion with Bonnie and other loved ones. Known for his ambitious nature and relentless pursuit of excellence, Brent lived an extraordinary life filled with love, service, and accomplishment. A longtime resident of Perry, Utah, Brent was a remarkable engineer at Hill Air Force Base, where he showcased his talent and reliability time and again.

After the passing of Bonnie, Brent married Joan Morgan Tomlinson, who was a wonderful support and a blessing to his family. Brent was passionate about woodworking, crafting beautiful furniture pieces for his grandchildren, a testament to his supportive nature and love for his family. His achievements were many, including his educational journey from Morgan High School to Utah State University, where he recieved a bachelors degree in Civil Engineering and finally, the University of Utah, where he earned a Master of Engineering Administration.

A devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served in many various callings throughout the years. Brent embodied the scripture from Mormon 8:18, “God is the same yesterday, today, and forever,” as he remained constant in his faith, love for his family, and dedication to his craft. He served as the Engineer for the Brigham City Temple for 10 years until he was 80. Brent loved to serve others, especially the widows in his neighborhood.
