LOGAN – City officials here are advising local motorists of another upcoming road closure associated with the First Dam Tank & Waterline Project.
The intersection of 600 East and Canyon Road will be closed to through traffic beginning during the week of Monday, June 15 to allow the installation of new waterline infrastructure at that location.
That closure will be in effect through early July, according to city officials. During that period, that intersection will be closed to all vehicle traffic, as well as pedestrian and bicycle access.
Although construction work is slated to be accomplished from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, the intersection at 600 East and Canyon will remain closed during the evening hours and on weekends.
They add, however, that access to homes located along 600 East and Canyon Road within the closure area will be maintained throughout the construction period.
While construction is underway, Canyon Road traffic will be detoured at Preston Avenue and 200 North.
Traffic on 600 East should detour via Center Street or First Dam.
For additional information about this scheduled closure, residents can contact the project team with questions at logantank@jub.com or (435) 258-7302.
