LOGAN – There’s an old saying that “Utah has only two seasons – winter and construction.”

To prove that, Logan officials are advising residents of the Island neighborhood of an upcoming road closure that will impact traffic through that area.

That closure will be in effect on 100 North from that road’s junction with Sumac Drive east to its junction with Thrushwood Drive starting on Monday, April 28.

That closure is required to repair asphalt damage to 100 North that occurred due to a water leak during the winter, according to city officials.

The road is expected to remain closed through  Tuesday, April 29. Due to the large size of the area needing to be patched, only half of that area will be patched on April 28 to 29, with the reminder to be repaired later.

Motorists traveling on 100 North are being advised to detour north on Sumac Drive and then follow signs posted by city crews.
