LOGAN — Emergency crews responded to an incident Monday evening after a vehicle veered off the road and crashed into a home in North Logan. Despite significant property damage, officials confirmed that no one was hurt in the collision.

The accident occurred at approximately 5:02 p.m. when dispatchers received reports of a vehicle vs. house crash. First responders arrived to find a green Subaru wedged into the side of the residence near 1215 East 2200 North.

North Park Police Chief Kent Goodrich said investigators are unsure what caused the woman to slam into the home. The female driver told law enforcement she didn’t know how the crash happened.

Units on the scene included Engine 120, Rescue 120, Battalion 70, and Heavy Rescue 71 from both the Logan and North Logan fire departments. Firefighters and technical rescue teams immediately secured the area and assessed the structural integrity of the home.

Authorities reported that the occupants of the house were inside at the time of the impact but managed to escape without injury. The driver of the vehicle was evaluated by paramedics at the scene and also reported no injuries.

Officials with the Logan City Fire Department said, “It is a fortunate outcome considering the potential for tragedy in these types of incidents.”

Goodrich said the cause of the crash remains under investigation. No names have been released, and it is unclear if any citations will be issued.
