AMERICAN FORK — Altabank is teaming up with the American Red Cross of Utah to host a series of blood drives across the state on Monday, May 5, aiming to bolster Utah’s blood supply and promote community health.
Four Altabank branches—from North Logan in Cache Valley to St. George in southern Utah—will hold drives between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Participants can schedule appointments through the Red Cross Blood Donor App, redcrossblood.org or by calling 1-800-RED CROSS and using the sponsor code “Altabank.”
“We are thrilled to team up with Altabank to raise awareness about the vital need for blood donation across our state,” said Benjamin Donner, executive director of the American Red Cross Central and Southern Utah Chapter. “Altabank’s dedication to hosting these blood drives demonstrates their strong commitment to supporting community health and well-being.”
The initiative reflects Altabank’s broader focus on community service. Bob Wright, the bank’s Community Reinvestment Act coordinator, is leading the effort. Wright has personally donated blood since 1982 and is approaching a milestone of 20 gallons given.
“The blood drives are just one example of how our bank is giving back to the communities we serve,” Wright said. “At Altabank, we encourage our employees and customers to get involved and support the people around them in meaningful ways.”
Blood donors from May 1 to May 18 will receive a $20 e-gift card and be entered into the Red Cross American Adventure Sweepstakes, which offers a chance to win a dream U.S. trip for two, including travel, accommodations and a $1,000 gift card.
The May 5 blood drive locations include:

North Logan: 2427 Main St.
-
Riverton: 2691 W. 12600 South
