LOGAN — A 29-year-old Logan man who had been evading law enforcement for six months was arrested in Lewiston and now faces more possible charges. Skyler Scott Ralphs was booked Tuesday into the Cache County Jail.

In November 2021, a judge issued a warrant for Ralphs’ arrest after he failed to appear in court. The defendant was facing multiple charges in two cases, including drug possession and aggravated assault.

According to an arrest affidavit, Logan City Police officers received a cybertip in April. It claimed Ralphs was using a Google account to share child pornography. The files were of female children, ranging in age from 4 to 12-years-old.

Tuesday, police and probation agents tracked Ralphs to a Lewiston home after he had reportedly returned to the state. He was taken into custody without incident.

Police report that while searching the suspect, “a red zip lock baggy containing a green leafy substance was found,” the affidavit explained. Ralphs stated it was his marijuana, even though he doesn’t have a valid medical card. He also allegedly admitted to smoking it the day before.

Jail records show, Ralphs was booked on suspicion of sexual exploitation of a minor and drug possession. Law enforcement has asked a judge to consider holding him without bail.

Individuals arrested and charged in complaints are presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in court.
