LOGAN – The Fry Street Quartet at Utah State University will perform the first of three concerts with guest artists on Friday, July 11 in the Russell/Wanlass Performance Hall on the university campus.
That event, slated for 7:30 p.m., will open the 2025 Fry Street Chamber Music Festival Concert Series.
That festival will continue with evening concerts at the same campus location to be offered on Monday, July 14 and Thursday, July 17.
The Fry Street Quartet is a professional string ensemble in permanent residence at Utah State.
Its members are Robert Waters (first violin), Rebecca McFaul (second violin), Bradley Ottesen (viola) and Anne Francis Bayless (cello).
They are all also faculty members in USU’s Department of Music, teaching their respective instruments and chamber music.
The guest artists who are slated to perform during the Chamber Music Festival include John Posadas playing viola, Will Hagen on violin, Jennifer Posadas on violin, Cahill Smith on piano, Brent Bayless on viola, Leo Eguchi on cello and Koji Atwood on piano.
Originally founded in 1997 in Chicago, the Fry Street Quartet has performed at festivals and venues around the world, earning numerous awards along the way.
Following a critically acclaimed debut at Carnegie Hall, the ensemble relocated from North Carolina to Utah State in 2002.
With the launch of the new College of Arts & Sciences at USU, the Fry Street Quartet will now perform under the aegis of the Caine School of the Arts, which continues to be dedicated to promoting the arts and arts education on campus and in the community.
All performances of the Fry Street Chamber Music Festival will be offered in the Russell/Wanlass Performance Hall on the USU campus.
