JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) — The driver accused of hitting a competitor in a bike race while under the influence in Teton County has pleaded not guilty.
The Jackson Hole News and Guide reports (http://bit.ly/1QAXd8V ) 62-year-old Patricia Gene Williams entered not guilty pleas Wednesday to charges of DUI, leaving the scene of an injury accident and reckless endangerment.
A Wyoming Highway Patrol investigation found that Williams had been driving a truck Sept. 12 when she sideswiped the cyclist, who had been riding in the bicycle race from Logan, Utah to Jackson Hole.
Williams is accused of hitting Marci Simons of Springville, Utah while she was crossing a bridge. Simons suffered minor injuries.
Troopers reported that Williams had a blood alcohol content level more than twice the legal limit.
She faces two years imprisonment.
