LOGAN – Logan has scheduled a swearing-in ceremony for the city’s newly elected and selected officials.
The public is invited to that event, which is slated to take place at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 6 in the Logan Council Chambers in City Hall.
Justice Court Judge Lee Edwards will administer the oath of office to Mayor Elect Mark A. Anderson and council members Ernesto López, Katie Lee Koven and Melissa Dahle.
After his victory in the November 2025 municipal election, Mark Anderson will replace outgoing Mayor Holly Daines.
Lee Koven will replace long-time council member Amy Z. Anderson, who declined to seek re-election in the recent municipal balloting.
Dahle was selected to replace Mark Anderson on the municipal panel by council members in December.
Those newly elected/selected council members will join incumbents Jeannie Simmonds and Mike Johnson on the municipal council.
The Logan Municipal Council’s agenda for its initial meeting of 2026 will also include a public hearing on routine budget adjustments and consideration of workshop items relating to rezones, a right of way vacation and an electrical easement vacation.
Logan City Hall is located at 290 North, 100 West in Logan.
