LOGAN – Witches on the Green is a chance for women and men to golf and to dress up in their best witches and warlocks costumes.
Joni Kartchner is the founder of the Witches on the Green.
Joni and her friend wanted to “do something that was fun and different, to get some women together.”
Joni found the inspiration for the Witches on the Green from one of her college best friends’ mom, “and her friends were out golfing, and they would dress up as witches in October and so that was the inspiration.”
At the event at the Logan River Golf Course, golfers will have the opportunity to decorate their golf carts in halloween decorations.
There will be two groups golfing, one in the morning for women at 9:30 and the second for women and men in the afternoon at 2:00.
The golfers participating will be in teams of four and on the green “each player hits the ball and whoever hits the farthest, you play off that ball,” said Joni.
Each group will have a chance to participate in a silent auction and enjoy food.
Witches and warlocks on the green will be fundraising and helping the non-profit Operation Literacy.
Witches and warlocks on the green will be held on the last Tuesday of September on the 30th.
