LOGAN – The highlight of pre-Christmas festivities in downtown Logan will be the Twinkle Light Parade on Saturday, Nov. 29.
That event, which will include the official arrival of Santa Claus in Logan, is slated to take place from 200 West Center Street to the Center Street Arch Street at 5 p.m. that day, as part of the Center Street Holiday Celebration.
Registration for the Twinkle Light Parade is free, according to organizers, who are encouraging cars, scooters, floats, trucks, wagons, four-wheelers and utility vehicles to sign up for the holiday event.

The festivities on Center Street will begin at 10 a.m. on Nov. 29 with a Jolly Jog Five-Kilometer race sponsored by Sol Speak Yoga.
Starting at noon, the Ice Rink at the Carol and Jim Laub Plaza will be open for skating sessions at 12 p.m., 2 p.m., 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.
Also at noon, the Utah Theatre will begin free screenings of holiday films for youngsters and their parents throughout the day. The theater’s schedule includes Frosty the Snowman at 12 p.m.; Mickey’s Christmas Carol at 1 p.m.; It’s a Charlie Brown Christmas at 2 p.m.; Frosty the Snowman at 3 p.m.; and Mickey’s Christmas Carol at 4 p.m.
The Center Street Winter Gift Market will be open from 1 to 8 p.m. during the local celebration, along with food trucks for the hungry.
At 4:30 p.m., the American Festival Chorus will perform live music for the public.
The Bluebird Candy Factory will officially unveil its Holiday Window Display at 5 p.m.
At 5:30 p.m., Santa Claus will arrive at the Center Street Arch, wrapping up the Twinkle Light Parade.
The Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Center Street will take place at 5:50 p.m., following by a fireworks display that will be visible from both Laub Plaza and Center Street.
Santa Claus will be available to visit with children from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Utah Theatre.
At 7:30 p.m., the Center Street Holiday Celebration will wrap up with the Utah Theatre’s presentation of the fee movie Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas.
The celebration’s fireworks display will be sponsored by Anderson’s Seed & Garden and Cache Valley Electric.
The Twinkle Light Parade will be sponsored by Beazer Lock & Key.
Other event sponsors include the Utah Theatre, Red Poppy Event Rentals, the Cache Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Center Street Business Association.
