William Arnell Wells was born in Ogden, Utah, June 2, 1937. He departed this life peacefully and surrounded by his family at his home in Willard on September 10, 2022, at the age of 85.
A lifelong resident of Willard, Arnell graduated from Box Elder High School in 1955. Arnell worked in construction before he began to farm with his dad in the Willard area.
On September 23, 1961, he was united in marriage with Eleanor Ricks in Elko, Nevada. They were later sealed in the Logan Temple, they recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary, and together they had three sons.
Arnell always possessed a lifelong love for farming and working with the land and livestock. He always looked forward to working with the tractor and four-wheelers. In his leisure time he enjoyed “Going to coffee” with the guys, and trips to Wendover where he almost always came home ahead. He was involved in the community by being on the Willard City Council and was Willard Water Master for many years.
Preceding him in death were his parents: Arthur and Irene; sister: Eva Mae; brother: George; and brother-in-law: Brent Noorda.
Arnell is survived by his wife: Eleanor; children: Jeff (Laura), Terry (Melanie) and Travis (Lindsey); 9 grandchildren; 3 sisters and a brother.

Graveside Services will be held on Monday, September 19, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Willard Cemetery, 470 North Main Street, Willard, UT.
Viewings will be held the night before on Sunday, September 18, 2022, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 South 100 East, Brigham City, UT, and prior to the graveside service on Monday from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. also at the Mortuary.
