LOGAN – Festivities for Utah State University’s 2024 Homecoming begin Monday, Oct. 7 and will finally start to wind down sometime after the Homecoming Parade Saturday.

This year’s traditional Homecoming football game will be played Friday, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m. on Merlin Olsen Field against the UNLV Rebels, the defending Mountain West Conference champions. After the game True Aggie Night will light up Old Main at midnight as students and alumni gather for a time-honored tradition.

Festivities start with Monday’s annual street painting by students, scheduled from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at the Taggart Student Center Bus Loop on campus. Tuesday’s highlight event is the Mr. USU Pageant at 7 p.m. in the Daines Concert Hall and Wednesday at 3 p.m. is the kickoff for a PowderPuff Tournament.

“1888 minutes of giving” is the theme of A Day of Giving Thursday and Friday, Oct. 11-12 with an opportunity to support student scholarships.

Friday at 2 p.m. a special ribbon-cutting ceremony on the southwest corner of the Quad will celebrate the new Mehdi Heravi Global Teaching & Learning Center Building.

Saturday, Oct. 12 begins with the Running of the Bulls 5K at 8:30 a.m. followed by the Homecoming Parade at 10 a.m., from Center Street to 800 North along Logan’s Main Street.

Homecoming Grand Marshals are USU alums David and Trisha Butterfield while Robert Allen is Alumnus of the Year and Young Alumnus of the Year is Kirsten Rappleye.
