LOGAN – State officials are warning motorists to slow down and use caution as a new traffic pattern is introduced on State Road 30 (Valley View Highway/200 North) west of Logan.
The Utah Department of Transportation has announced that a new traffic pattern will be in effect on that thoroughfare starting on Sunday, Aug. 10.
That’s when traffic between the Cutler Marsh bridge and 1900 West will shift south onto new pavement.
Eastbound drivers will shift back to already existing pavement at 1900 West.
Westbound drivers will shift back to already existing pavement at just before reaching the Cutler Marsh bridge.
UDOT officials also plan to reopen the intersection at 1900 West as part of this transition.
These changes are part of a UDOT effort to improve SR-30 in Cache County, specifically from State Road 23 to 1000 West in Logan.
The project includes widening the road to four lanes, adding wider shoulders and improving safety features like an Advanced Warning System and new lighting at the SR-23 intersection.
