LOGAN — A multi-vehicle crash blocked traffic along Valley View Highway, SR-30 for more than an hour and sent three people to the hospital. The accident occurred Wednesday just after 4 p.m. at 1500 W. 200 North.

Logan City Police Capt. Shand Nazer said an eastbound vehicle was travelling along 200 North and failed to slow down for traffic in the construction area. The first vehicle rear-ended a car in front of them, sending the second vehicle into oncoming traffic and hitting a westbound car.

Paramedics responded to the crash, treating the drivers of all three vehicles and transporting them to the hospital. None of the injuries were reportedly life threatening.

Nazer said a fourth vehicle was damaged in the crash but the driver was not injured.

Traffic in both directions was detoured onto 200 South for about 90 minutes. It resulted in long delays for motorists getting around the crash.

Police cited the driver of the first vehicle for following to close.
