LOGAN — A year-long campaign called “Here’s to 40 Years” is being recognized at The Family Place Utah, with many special events planned.

On KVNU’s For the People program this past Thursday, Reece Nelson, a clinical director with the organization was our guest. He described what a clinical director does.

“My role is to oversee a full program of services that are based on our therapy services but there’s a lot of other things that are related to that. So, anywhere from the budget side to planning and envisioning where we’re going to grow, and how we’re going to do that, so that we can get the people we need here to do the work that needs done,” Nelson explained.

Nelson was asked what forty years of The Family Place means to him.

“It think it’s a great thing that The Family Place has come this far and just the growth that it’s experienced because it is so good. You wouldn’t believe the positive energy that flows through this place. So, forty years to me means a lot more years to come and a lot of vitality.

Some of their events this month involve the use of horses in healing for youth and adults and using art in healing for youth. Also at the end of next month is their 17th annual Blue Ribbon Benefit Dinner on April 30th.  Get more details on these activities at TheFamilyPlaceUtah.org.
