Police officers have arrested a 39-year-old Smithfield man accused of voyeurism and possessing child pornography.
Smithfield City Police Chief Travis Allen said officers booked David J. Denton Friday afternoon on suspicion of sexual exploitation of a minor, a second-degree felony and voyeurism, a class A misdemeanor. He is being held in the Cache County Jail on $11,900 bail.
Officers began investigating Denton after receiving a report on the allegations from caseworkers at the Division of Child and Family Services.
Allen said the case is ongoing and formal charges are pending.
