LOGAN — Several crashes slowed traffic along US-89/91 and Main Street in Logan on Saturday.

The first crash occurred around 11:30 a.m. near 2200 South US-89/91.

Logan City Police Chief Jeff Simmons said a vehicle pulled in front of a second vehicle and was T-boned. The driver of the first vehicle was pinned inside and had to be extricated by emergency crews, before being transported to the hospital by paramedics.

Family members confirmed, the woman was treated and later released from Logan Regional.

The passenger inside the first vehicle was also injured and taken to the hospital. They were later transferred by ambulance to McKay Dee Hospital with serious injuries.

No one in the second vehicle was reportedly injured.

Simmons said the driver of the first vehicle was cited for failing to yield.

The second crash occurred at 600 North Main Street around 5:30 p.m. It involved four vehicles.

Simmons said no major injuries were reported.
