LOGAN – The Rotary Club of Logan is sponsoring its annual Golf ‘n Ribs Fundraiser for Scholarships and Dictionaries on Thursday, August 11th at the Logan Golf and Country Club. Funds raised from the tournament and dinner are used for scholarships awarded to students attending Bridgerland Technical College as well as scholarships for local students going to Utah State University. Additionally, the service club uses the funds to purchase dictionaries that get distributed to every 3rd Grade student in Cache and Rich counties (an annual project which has been ongoing since 2004).

Golf is a “Shotgun Start” at noon. For those still wanting to participate, the cost is $400 per foursome or $125 per person. The cost includes golf, cart, and dinner. A social hour begins at 5 and the dinner follows at 5:30 p.m., featuring Floyd Jarvis’s famous dry rub smoked ribs.

A silent auction will also take place that evening. If anyone wants to enjoy the rib dinner without playing golf, cost is $35. To reserve for dinner only, contact Adrienne Akers at adrienne.akers@gmail.com.

For more information about the golf fundraiser, contact Jay Black at black.jay2@gmail.com or Jeannie Simmonds at jfsimmonds@comcast.net.
