Rosa Alpina Mendoza Villalobos, age 91, returned to her Savior and Heavenly parents on Monday, May 23, 2022. Rosa was born in 1931 to Francisca Mendoza and Victoriano Portillo Iraheta in Zacatecoluca, El Salvador. She was the youngest of their three children. Rosa enjoyed socializing within her community and helping others in need. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Rosa was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day in December of 1972 and remained a faithful member throughout her life. In 2001, Rosa and her spouse Castulo Villalobos, served as senior missionaries in Brownsville, TX. Rosa was strong woman who endured many hardships but always pressed forward.
She is survived by her four children: her daughter Dorian Francini, her spouse Albert and their six children: Albert, Levi, Robert, Rosemary, Peter, and Francini; her son Carlos, his wife Pamela and their four children: Ivan, Veronica, Amber, and Charles; her son Eduardo and his four children: Jesús Eduardo, Francini, Ricardo, and Tamara, and her youngest son René, his wife Marta and their four children: Rakel, Alexander, Eric, and Daniel. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
The viewing will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 680 south 1250 west Logan, UT on Wednesday June 1, 2022 from 9:30-10:30am. Funeral services will follow from 11:00am-12:00pm. A luncheon will be served at the church from 1:00-2:30pm following the burial at the Logan cemetery.

Rosa nació en 1931 de Francisca Mendoza y Victoriano Portillo Iraheta en Zacatecoluca, El Salvador. Ella era la menor de sus tres hijas. Rosa disfrutaba socializar dentro de su comunidad y ayudar a otros con necesidades. Le encantaba pasar tiempo con sus hijos y nietos.
Rosa fue bautizada como miembro de la Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Últimos Días en diciembre de 1972 y permaneció fiel durante toda su vida. En 2001, Rosa y su esposo Cástulo Villalobos sirvieron como misioneros mayores en Brownsville, TX. Rosa fue una mujer fuerte que soportó muchas dificultades pero siempre siguió adelante.
Le sobreviven sus cuatro hijos: su hija Dorian Francini, su esposo Albert y sus seis hijos: Albert, Levi, Robert, Rosemary, Peter y Francini; su hijo Carlos, su esposa Pamela y sus cuatro hijos: Ivan, Veronica, Amber y Charles; su hijo Eduardo y sus cuatro hijos: Jesús Eduardo, Francini Yamilet, Ricardo y Tamara, y su hijo menor René, su esposa Marta y sus cuatro hijos: Rakel, Alexander, Eric y Daniel. También le sobreviven once bisnietos.
El velorio se llevará a cabo en la Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Últimos Días, 680 south 1250 west Logan, UT el miércoles 1 de junio de 2022 de 9:30 a 10:30 am. Los servicios funerarios seguirán de 11:00 am a 12:00 pm. Se servirá un almuerzo en la iglesia de 1:00 a 2:30 pm después del entierro en el cementerio de Logan.
