LOGAN — A new round of roadwork is set to begin as early as Monday, June 9, on State Route 30 (200 North) in Logan, with crews targeting a one-mile stretch from Main Street (US-91) to 1000 West.
The Utah Department of Transportation announced the resurfacing project, which includes removing and replacing the top layer of asphalt, updating road signage and striping, and reconstructing sidewalk ramps to meet current Americans with Disabilities Act standards. Crews will also apply a bonded wearing course—a high-friction surface designed to improve traction in wet or icy conditions.
To reduce impacts on drivers, most work will be performed overnight, between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m., up to seven nights a week through mid-August. UDOT officials said two-way traffic will be maintained during construction hours, but drivers should plan for delays of up to 15 minutes, along with shoulder closures, lane shifts and temporary side-street closures.
A single, three-day closure of 600 West is planned for mid-July to allow paving near the railroad tracks.
UDOT is asking motorists to stay alert, slow down, and watch for workers in the construction zone. Noise, dust and vibrations are expected to increase during work hours.
