LOGAN – City officials have announced new travel restrictions in the areas of Quail Way and Mountain Road due to continuing work on the First Dam Storage Tank and Waterline Project.

Crews will be installing the new waterline through the intersection of Mountain Road and Quail Way starting as early as Tuesday, Aug. 11. To safely accommodate construction activities and maintain access through the area, temporary traffic control measures will be in place.

The waterline will be installed along the east side of the intersection using an open trench with approximately one-half of the intersection under construction at a time.

The west side of Quail Way will remain open and will temporarily accommodate two-way traffic directed by flaggers.
Once work is completed on the east side, traffic will shift to allow construction on the west side.

Construction activities in the intersection are anticipated to be complete Friday, August 14. In the meantime, motorist should expect to encounter minor delays.
