PROVIDENCE – In the next episode of his Candid Conversations series, congressional hopeful Peter Crosby will be joined by Patrick Belmont, another candidate challenging a local Republican.
Crosby is inviting local residents to join the Aug. 25 political conversation as he and Belmont discuss water, data centers, good governance and responsible growth.
A Democrat, Crosby is challenging incumbent three-term U.S. Rep. Blake Moore (R-UT) for his seat in Congress representing Utah’s 2nd Congressional District in the upcoming Nov. 3 midterm election.
He has also recently allied himself with advocacy groups opposing the proposed Stratos Data Center in Box Elder County.
Belmont is an Independent candidate competing against incumbent state Rep. Jason Thompson (R-River Heights) for the 3rd District seat in the Utah Legislature.
A native of Chicago, Belmont’s career experience at Utah State University as a scientist, educator and community advocate have taken him into areas of concern for Utahns including water, energy, air quality, wildfire prevention and growth.
Candid Conversation is a series of political discussions delivered via social media by the Crosby campaign.
The Crosby-Belmont event is scheduled at 5 p.m. on Aug. 25 and will be steamed on Facebook, YouTube and Instagram.
