Artist rendering of the Cody Wyoming Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
SALT LAKE CITY — Leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have released an artist’s rendering of the Cody Wyoming Temple. The location of the temple was announced just two weeks ago.
In a press release Monday afternoon, the artist’s depiction showed a single-story structure, with a single spire. The granite building will have arching doorways and windows.
Previously, the First Presidency announced that the temple will be built on the northwest side of Skyline Drive at Cody Canal in Cody, Wyoming. Plans call for the temple to be approximately 9,950 square feet.
Additional details about the design and groundbreaking are still being planned.
This will be the faith’s third temple in Wyoming, home to more than 67,000 members. The Star Valley Wyoming Temple was dedicated in 2016, and the Casper Wyoming Temple is currently under construction. The Cody Wyoming Temple was first announced in October 2021 by Church President Russell M. Nelson.
