LOGAN — Fire crews from multiple agencies successfully contained a grass fire Tuesday, preventing the blaze from damaging nearby agricultural lands and property.

The response involved coordinated efforts from the Wellsville Fire Department, Mendon Fire Department, Cache County Fire District, and the Utah Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands. Upon arrival, crews initiated an aggressive attack to stop the fire’s spread, quickly bringing it under control.

Officials emphasized that while agricultural fields in the area may appear green, experts warn that dry undergrowth remains a significant fire hazard during this season.

The Cache County Fire District commended all responding personnel for their dedication and professionalism, while urging residents to exercise caution to prevent future ignitions.
