Preston Idaho folks are proud of their Festival of Lights, to be held Saturday Nov. 25 this year.

PRESTON – It’s a holiday tradition for many families and each year it gets bigger and better. The Preston City Festival of Lights (FOL) will be held again on Saturday, Nov. 25th.

The Lighted Parade in Preston has been a part of the Festival of Lights tradition for some 30 years.

The Preston City Councilman over the Festival of Lights this year is Chris Larsen.

The event is successful every year thanks to the tight knit Preston community and the FOL committee that ensures the success of the event every year.

“The FOL committee are all volunteers and they put the lights on the trees on State Street,” Larsen said. “We will be losing two members of our FOL committee so if anyone is interested they should contact me.”

Volunteers don’t have to live in Preston City, he said.

This year’s committee members are Chairman Terri Green, Amber Almond, Tiffani Waetchler, Mellissa Aronhalt, Amber Alder, Sandy Martin and Kory Argyle.

We held the annual Candlelight Dinner on November 4 to raise funds for the FOL,” Larsen said. “We would like to thank all the businesses who generously donated to this community event.”
