LOGAN — Police arrested a 20-year-old Millville man Thursday morning, accused of breaking into several businesses during the last couple weeks.

Kyle Christiansen was booked into the Cache County Jail on suspicion of burglary and theft. Later, prosecutors with the Cache County Attorney’s Office filed 16-charges against him, including six counts of burglary, a third-degree felony, and misdemeanor charges of theft and criminal mischief.

Logan City Police Chief Gary Jensen said officers were originally called to Fast Cache Pawn early Thursday morning, after a security alarm was triggered. The first officer to arrive on the scene witnessed Christiansen drive away from the nearby storage sheds.

The officer later conducted a traffic stop and noticed Christiansen acting nervous when he pulled him over. Inside the vehicle were several items believed to be stolen.

Jensen said officers believe Christiansen broke into several businesses that night and attempted to break into several others. He has also been linked to other burglaries a couple weeks ago.

Christiansen remains in jail on $48,000 bail.  He is scheduled to be arraigned in 1st District Court on Tuesday.

The investigation is continuing.
