LOGAN — A 20-year-old man was taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash Saturday, north of Richmond. The accident was reported on US-91, near Pepperidge Farm.
According to Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Cameron Roden, a 16-year-old boy was driving a black Ford F-150 eastbound on 11600 North, attempting to cross the highway, and allegedly failed to yield the right of way.
The truck was T-boned by a green Ford F-150, heading northbound on US-91. The green truck went off the highway and came to a stop facing east.
Roden explained the black truck went off the road into an embankment, through a fence and across a field before going through a second fence and coming to a stop in a field.
According to emergency radio traffic, the 20-year-old driver of the green truck was in and out of consciousness. He was treated by paramedics and transported to the hospital with moderate injuries.
Roden said the driver and a passenger of the black truck were also transported to the hospital by a private vehicle with minor injuries.
Troopers cited the driver of the black Ford for failing to yield.
