LOGAN – On Monday, patrons who pulled up to Burger King located on the corner of 200 North Main were greeted with printed signs throughout the premises announcing the restaurant’s closure.
“We regret to inform you that we have closed our business,” the signs read. “We have appreciated our guests and look forward to seeing you at our 1080 North Main Street or our Wellsville locations.”
The outdoor menus have been taken down and all that remains is a solitary chair blocking the drive thru. The downtown fast food restaurant had been opened for decades. Prior to being a location for Burger King, the venue was formerly a Hardee’s.
Meanwhile, a few blocks to the north a small army of workers continue to prepare the new In-n-Out Burger on the corner of 400 North Main for its opening on Wednesday, August 17th. The highly-anticipated restaurant with a simple menu will be using dozens of flaggers to help direct traffic in and around the restaurant. They will also direct traffic flow throughout the parking lot in front of the old Macey’s grocery store. Expect heavy traffic at the intersections of 400 North Main in addition to 400 North 100 East over the next few days.
Restaurant hours are from 10:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. Hours are extended to 1:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.
There are currently 378 locations throughout western states, including Texas. The first In-N-Out hamburger stand opened in 1948 and the first Utah location opened in 2008 in Washington City. Currently, the closest In-N-Out Burger to Logan is located in Riverdale and the Logan opening will mark the restaurant’s 12 location in Utah.
