CACHE COUNTY – County officials in Cache and Box Elder have jointly announced the closure of a road connecting those counties.
The Public Works Department of Cache County and the Box Elder Road Department will close the Short Divide Road to through traffic starting on Monday, Sept. 23.
That closure will be in effect until Friday, Oct. 11, while workers from both counties perform road maintenance.
That road is traditionally closed for the winter by a gate at 9200 West, 9950 North inside the Clarkston City limits.
County officials are advising motorists to plan their travel accordingly and use alternate routes during the period of road maintenance.
