NORTH LOGAN – The public is invited to join North Logan’s Pioneer Day Celebration on Friday, July 24 beginning at 7 a.m. It will be held at Elk Ridge Park and surrounding areas.
The celebration begins at 7 a.m. with a 5-K charity run or mile run or walk at Elk Ridge Park. While folks wait for the runners to return there is a pancake breakfast going until 9 a.m. Proceeds from the breakfast will go to the Green Canyon Marching Band.
Children 10 and under can participate in the Fishing the Platt contest to be held at the King Nature Park beginning at 8 a.m. No fishing licenses are required.
At 10 a.m. North Logan City will host the oldest and biggest pioneer parade in Cache Valley with endless candy for kids.
This year Pioneer activities will include vendors, kid’s market, games, food, and bounce castles for younger pioneers beginning at 11 a.m. and runs until 1 p.m.
Eccles Ice Center has agreed to offer free ice skating from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m.
The popular BBQ and Bingo will begin at 5:30 p.m. It will be held at the Lions Building at Elk Ridge Park. This event will be hosted by the North Logan Royalty, and the proceeds will go to the Green Canyon Marching Band.
Beginning at 8 p.m. the Family Fun Games will begin at the south end of Elk Ridge Park. Despicable Me activities will take place before the movie starts.
To cap off the evening there will be a fireworks show starting at 10 p.m. sponsored by Thomson Family Orthodontics.
