LOGAN — A 22-year-old Nibley man has admitted to sexually abusing a 13-year-old boy several times between 2023 and 2024. Kaden S. Hawk has been in the Cache County Jail since a warrant was issued by a judge for his arrest in December 2025.

According to court records, Hawk appeared May 11 in Logan’s 1st District Court. He accepted a plea deal for two counts of sexual abuse of a child, which were amended to second-degree felonies. An additional charge was dismissed.

According to prosecutors, Cache County sheriff’s deputies were called to investigate a sexual assault involving a teenage boy. The victim disclosed to family members he had been molested and raped by Hawk, a relative.

The boy described how Hawk would enter his bedroom late at night and molest him while watching pornography. The incidents continued to escalate, with the defendant forcing him to engage in various sexual activities.

Family members reportedly confronted Hawk, who admitted to having a problem with pornography. The family said the Nibley man became remorseful and emotional, saying how sorry he was for what had happened.

Deputies later questioned Hawk as part of the investigation. During the interview, his whole body appeared to be shaking and he would not make eye contact with the deputy. He later invoked his Miranda rights.

Hawk is currently being held without bail. He is scheduled to be sentenced July 20.
