LOGAN — A 29-year-old Nibley man already facing aggravated assault and staking charges has been arrested again after two more alleged victims came forward with allegations of sexual assault and stalking, police report. Chandler Thomas Lowrey was booked Nov. 17 into the Cache County Jail.

According to charging documents, a woman contacted Logan City Police officers, explaining who she had met Lowrey on Tinder, a social media dating app. The two met at a bar, where the woman agreed to go back to the Logan suspect’s residence.

The alleged victim claimed Lowrey became sexually aggressive, putting his hands around her neck and restricting her breathing. He also reportedly refused to stop when she said she couldn’t breathe.

A second woman later contacted the Logan City Police Department, explaining how Lowrey had been very aggressive with her and stalked her after she tried to end the relationship. The alleged victim described how she also met the suspect on Tinder and had an “on and off” relationship, according to the arrest affidavit.

The woman told police how Lowrey was very emotionally abusive and manipulative. He was also allegedly physically abusive, grabbing her by the neck and strangling her, and throwing her onto a bed during one incident.

The alleged victim claimed the suspect would show up at her place of work unannounced after she tried to end their relationship. He would also reportedly call her from untraceable phone numbers, and contact her through fake social media accounts.

Lowrey made an initial appearance Nov. 19 in Logan’s 1st District Court. He was charged with two counts of forcible sodomy and two counts of aggravated kidnapping, all first-degree felonies; eight counts of aggravated assault and stalking, both third-degree felonies.

According to court records, Lowrey was originally arrested in February and later charged with two counts of aggravated kidnapping, a second-degree felony; stalking, a third-degree felony; and criminal trespassing of a dwelling, a class A misdemeanor. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

During Wednesday’s brief video arraignment, prosecutors asked the court to hold Lowrey without bail. They noted how three alleged victims had now come forward with similar allegations about the Nibley man.

Lowrey was ordered to remain in jail temporarily without bail. He is scheduled to appear again in court Dec. 3, and could face more than 15 years in prison, if convicted.
