LOGAN – The 16th season of Science Unwrapped, a free public STEM outreach program from Utah State University, begins Friday, Sept. 19.
The first presentation includes “Mummy Mystery” with USU anthropologists Molly Cannon and Sascha Baldauf explaining a research project with ancient mummified remains ‘unwrapped’ using scanning technology and expertise from USU biologists.
With the start of another new year, Science Unwrapped is continuing the ‘Celebrate Undergrad Research’ series, which highlights USU’s ‘Year of Undergraduate Research’ in 2025.
Each of the monthly Science Unwrapped sessions include monthly events, learning exhibits and a STEM talk.
The Eccles Science Learning Center Emert Auditorium (ESLC 130) hosts each of the events at 7 p.m. followed by hands-on learning activities and refreshments. All are welcome.
Science Unwrapped is now included in the newly formed College of Arts and Sciences -ArtSci- and welcomes new partners to the monthly events.
About 17 years ago USU faculty scientists Michelle Larson, Mary Hubbard and Shane Larson were planning a STEM outreach program their criteria were that it would highlight the process of science, that it would be for all ages and that it would be free.
