MANTUA – Little Valley Days had its final hurrah on Saturday, July 16, after a week of activities. They had a bike rally named Little Miss Mantua and Miss Teen Friendship.

The Mantua Dam Race kicked off the Saturday activities at 7 a.m. and went until after the fireworks at 10 p.m.

Most activities were at the park adjacent to the city office located at 409 N Main St.

There was a car show, kids games, face painting and plenty of games for the kids including bounce houses.

The quilt show not only had new quilts for judging but also old quilts that have passed the test of time: the handworks.

There was a shooting contest, a horseshoe tournament and a watermelon eating contest. The reservoir was also used for some activities.

Food trucks were on hand for lunch and dinner. To end the night there was live music and line dancing instruction.

At the end of the celebration will be a fireworks celebration.
