OGDEN, Utah (AP) – Police say a 26-year-old man who evaded officers during a high-speed chase near the Utah-Idaho border was arrested in South Ogden on Monday.

South Ogden officer Marci Edwards says officers arrested Brodey Brown late Monday after receiving an anonymous tip.

Earlier that day, police say Brown fled from Tremonton Police when he was pulled over for a traffic violation.

Officers say they followed Brown north on Interstate 15 but pulled off as they approached Idaho because there were no officers standing by in that state to continue the chase.

The Standard-Examiner reports an outstanding warrant for Brown’s arrest had been issued earlier in October related to drugs and weapons charges.

Tremonton Police Chief Dave Nance says officials will pursue additional charges for the chase.
