FRANKLIN COUNTY, Idaho — A 60-year-old Preston man died after crashing his motorcycle into a vehicle Saturday afternoon, April 13. The accident was reported at 2:29 p.m. on US-91, at approximately mile marker 13, south of the Bear River Memorial Park.

Idaho State Police report the man was driving a Yamaha motorcycle northbound on US-91 when it struck a BMW X3 as it was slowing to turn.

The BMW was being driven northbound by a 64-year-old female with a 66-year-old male passenger, both from Fruit Heights, Utah.

Police report the rider of the Yamaha succumbed to his injuries on scene. They did not say whether or not he was wearing a helmet. His identity was withheld, pending notification of family.

The driver and passenger of the BMW did not sustain any major injuries.
