LOGAN – The Logan Parks & Recreation Department needs volunteers to pick up golf balls.
No, seriously.
The city is seeking volunteers willing to spend a few hours to help officials find and collect golf balls from the edges of the Driving Range of the Logan River Golf Course.
The city has a mechanical picker that can remove golfs balls from the surface of the driving range, according to course pro Jeff John. But volunteers are needed to collect balls from the fringes of the range where the picker can’t go.
The effort to clean-up those areas of the driving range is slated for 9 a.m. to noon on Monday, March 24. Volunteers are requested to gather at the golf ball dispenser at the driving range.
All volunteers who participate will be entered into prize drawings.
If possible, John suggests that all volunteers should wear rain boots.
For additional information about this effort, please contact Jeff John at 435- 716-9275 or via e-Mail at jeff.john@loganutah.gov
The driving ranges is located at 550 West, 1000 South, directly across Golf Course Road from the Logan River Gold Course.
