LOGAN – City officials here have announced that Canyon Road will be closed intermittently from Friday, June 27 to Friday, July 11.
The closure of the road to the east of the city will be necessary to facilitate water pipeline trenching for the Logan City’s First Dam Tank & Pipeline project, according to those officials.
The road will be closed to all traffic between Herm’s Inn and the Utah State University Water Research Lab from Friday, June 27 to Thursday, July 3.
The thoroughfare will reopen for the holiday weekend from Friday, July 4 through Sunday, July 6.
The road will then be closed again from Monday, July 7 to Friday, July 11.
The pedestrian trail on the north side of Canyon Road will also be closed between Herm’s Inn and First Dam during the same timeframes.
City officials said the trail closure is necessary to install an overflow line across Canyon Road.
